Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)

Real Estate Investment Trusts

Diversify With a Group

Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are investment groups whereby investors combine their resources to purchase a variety of real estate products, such as commercial property, apartment buildings, industrial and residential property. This is the perfect self-directed vehicle for someone who prefers real estate investing, but wants to diversify their portfolio across a variety of real estate investments.

While investment amounts vary, privately placed REITS usually have a minimum buy-in of between $25,000 and $50,000. There are also publicly traded REITS which trade just as any other security, with investment amounts driven by market pricing. This gives investors flexibility in investment options and eliminating minimum buy-in amounts.
