Community Involvement

Building a Legacy of Quality Lifestyles
The support we provide to our clients and the dedication we feel toward their financial well-being carries over into our community involvement as well. Bea Goodwin and Source Sales & Marketing has a history of partnering with various nonprofit organizations in an effort to help them raise money for their causes, invest funds wisely, and educate donors about responsible investing models for charitable giving. We refer to this principle as “Building a Legacy of Quality Lifestyles.”
Foundation for Positively Kids
We are currently involved with the Foundation for Positively Kids and its initiative to improve the quality of life for medically fragile children and their families. The ultimate goal is for our collaborative efforts to result in a remarkable “All Win” opportunity for the board members, benefactors, families and friends of Positively Kids, and, of course, the kids. Our unique fundraising platform will introduce a new revenue generating opportunity, hopefully, for years to come. http://www.positivelykids.org/
Make-A-Wish Foundation
Bea serves on the board of directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation – Southern Nevada Chapter, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. She gets to help make dreams come true through fundraising, outreach, incredible volunteers and other creative efforts. About 115 local wishes are fulfilled each year based on each child’s individual and unique request. http://snv.wish.org/
National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)
As a women business owner, Bea’s experience is invaluable in helping the local NAWBO chapter further its goal of educating, empowering and promoting women business owners and their issues. She serves on the board of directors as awards chair, which recognizes the significant impact of members, and is the Women of Distinction chair, which recognizes female community leaders and trailblazers. The annual WODA luncheon is March 12, 2010, at the Las Vegas Hilton. http://www.nawbosnv.org/
Project Shero
Project Shero programs empower young girls in at-risk communities to know they can be products of their imagination rather than their environment. Bea serves on the organization’s advisory board. She also sponsors one girl per month to attend special workshops that encourage girls to “dream big” and celebrate their uniqueness. One recipient exclaimed, “This was the best day of my life!” http://www.project-shero.org/
From Hope to Hearts: Other Community Involvement
Bea Goodwin and the rest the dedicated Source team also lend time and support to several other educational and philanthropic organization including My Hope Chest, the only nonprofit group that helps unsinsured and underprivileged breast cancer survivors with breast reconstruction surgery-related needs (http://www.myhopechest.org/), and Vistage International, the world’s foremost chief executive leadership organization (http://www.vistage.com/). Bea is a past board member of the American Heart Association and stills supports its goal of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke (http:.//www.americanheart.org/).
